Project Director
Sarah has project managed numerous projects ranging from city-wide literature festivals to sexual health projects with young people in East London. All of her projects are based on the concept of strong partnership working and start with the needs and aspirations of the target group, rather than those of the funders. A selection of projects include:
- Everybody's Reading 2002 and 2003 - A city-wide festival of reading and writing in Leicester
- Leicester's Book of the Year Award - A book award shortlisted and judged by young people in Leicester, now in its sixth year
- As-Is - A literature and visual arts residency with asylum seekers in Leicester
- I'm Carrying, R U? - a sexual health project working with 40 young people in Tower Hamlets. Writers, sexual health workers and graphic designers worked in schools and youth groups to create a series of postcards sending sexual health messages to 15-25 year olds in East London.

Fundraising
Sarah also works as a freelance fundraiser. She has raised over £300,000 from sources such as Arts Council England (ACE), Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the Foyles Foundation, the Home Office, Primary Care Trusts and the Lottery.
Sarah has run training days on fundraising in the literature sector for the National Association of Literature Development (NALD).
