‘Narrating the City’ was a paper presented by Sarah Butler at Leeds Metropolitan University's seminar Playing In Urban Spaces on 3rd October 2008. ‘Narrating the City’, explores whether there is a role and a space for literature, creative writing and literary theory to inform and explore our relationship to urban space.

Writers Shaping Places was an event held on 30th June 2009, which asked: How can writers work with architects, designers and planners to engage people in the regeneration of their places and communities? This write up is published on the website of RUDI (Resource for Urban Design Information).

Can Writers Shape Place is a write up of a paper given at the Writing Urban Space conference at Surrey University on 23rd April 2010. A publication of essays from the conference is currently in production.
